My only complaint with Hightower's article is that it suggests that the war on public employees is "sudden." The recent controlled demolition of our economy and subsequent union- and budget-bashing is just one episode in many. The public employee bashing goes back to at least 1873, and the controlled economic demolitions for considerably longer.
