The story linked below says that the union and Mayor Mouth have agreed to discuss the matter of the second fired worker. My guess (and that is all it is) is that the mayor knew he was a beaten man when he was publicly attacked by those politicians to whom he appealed for help with the conflict. I suspect that there is already an agreement in place, and Bob Crow, victory in hand, agreed to let the blond bully save whatever face he has left by allowing him to appear to be still putting up a fight.
Congratulations to the RMT! I'd have thought a few nights in the stocks in Trafalgar Square a more fitting conclusion for the combless mayor, but this will do I suppose...
