The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a Conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst.Many Americans believe absurdities, our ruling class and its government couldn't survive otherwise. One of the worst delusions is that of American exceptionalism. It is the belief that we Americans are better than the people of other nations, more civilized, more reasonable, better educated. Our guys are good guys, when we do something wrong it's because of incompetence, or an incomplete understanding of a particular problem, or a flawed solution. But our intentions are always good, and they are so because our guys are good guys.
And it for this reason that some people categorically dismiss "conspiracy theories" as inane. For such people a simple presentation of the facts will not suffice as an honest weighing thereof is impossible for them. The school system, media, and government have so compromised their critical faculties that one must penetrate layer after layer of socio-political conditioning just to draw a dull gaze.
If one follows the link to Ed Haslam, St Tammany Parish, you will hear him give a speech in which he alleges that Lee Harvey Oswald was an intelligence agent of the US; that he was involved in a biological warfare program; that the intelligence community murdered people as part of the development of these biological weapons, and then murdered a scientist who worked on the project to protect it from public scrutiny; and that while he was doing that work Oswald was infiltrating the plot to kill JFK for the FBI. I will leave you to determine whether he proves his thesis.
However, this fascinating story does reveal a few things which can be proved, and which demonstrate beyond dispute that the US government has acted in a reprehensible way, and is responsible for countless American deaths, and the diseducation of generations of Americans.
The first lie we have been told for decades that can now be corrected is Jonas Salk. He has been celebrated as the brilliant scientist who came up with the polio vaccine and saved millions of lives. Well as it turns out not only is Salk not one of histories great geniuses, but is perhaps science's greatest screw-up. The vaccine didn't save lives, it sent millions to early graves by giving them cancer. It was Salk's idiotic mistake which was responsible for the meteoric rise in cancer fatalities in the years since the introduction of his lethal vaccine. (For details one can read Haslam's Dr. Mary's Monkey, or Debbie Bookchin's The Virus and the Vaccine. I recommend both, with the former being a little more entertaining.)
It gets worse, not only have we been taught to revere a schmuck, but when the government realized (after ignoring warnings from concerned scientists whom they had tasked with experimenting with the vaccine) what had happened, they perpetrated a decades-long fraud on the American people.
Salk's blunder was in using the wrong strain of the polio virus, and doubling his mistake by choosing a faulty method for sterilization. What Salk didn't know at the time was that certain viruses caused cancer. He didn't know this because when he went to school it was widely believed (and taught) that viruses couldn't cause cancer.
What government researchers eventually discovered was that the sharp rise in cancer fatalities was due to the fact that the polio virus used in the vaccine was grown on the kidney cells of monkeys. These kidney cells were thought to contain no harmful microorganisms. That was wrong. One of the viruses, SV40, is extremely carcinogenic. When America queued in endless lines to receive the much ballyhooed vaccine, they were injected with cancer.
To cover their blunder, the government perpetuated the myth that viruses could not cause cancer so as to prevent research in this area. And, more despicably, generations of research scientists and medical students were still taught that viruses couldn't cause cancer. Your doctor, your child's pediatrician, were taught things which the government knew were not true, in an effort to keep the people from discovering the government's massive, lethal mistake.
So, there has been a decades-long conspiracy at the highest eschelons of our government, a conspiracy which has been successfully kept secret through several administrations, and long enough so that all liable for the horrendous miscue are now gone. And the result of this conspiracy was that doctors were diseducated, and their advice to patients thus compromised; and much-needed research into the causes of the sky-rocketing cancer rate was stymied at the cost of who knows how many American lives.
This is not a conspiracy theory, this is a conspiracy fact. And in fact there is much more, strange things happened over the decades to scientists who seemed to be on the verge of discovery, odd mishaps to those who began to suggest that maybe we are wrong to think that viruses couldn't cause cancer. But here these are theories and not yet proven...
And if you listen to the audio you will learn that the government has had information exculpating Lee Harvey Oswald and vindicating Jim Garrison and has suppressed it for thirty years.
