Egypt On Fire: Revolutionaries Fight Back

The Mubarak-Regime-Sans-Mubarak in the fight of its life.

Beware the Anger of Suez

Suez city is currently on fire after the court rule to release the officers accused of killing the protesters in the city on bail and to adjourn their case to next September 18th. The families of the martyrs went mad literally , they set a police station on fire “It was denied later”. They have cut the Suez Cairo highways. According to eyewitnesses and tweeps in the city the army tanks have entered the city to protect police stations and other vital buildings.

Meanwhile in Cairo !!

At the same time Suez is on fire , Cairo is currently watching what is taking place anxiously especially at El Manial area. I hate to say but once again another police station in Egypt is besieged by angry citizens with the news of murder and torture !! We thought that these days are over but we were so wrong.
Those angry citizens have cut the Saleh Salem highway as far as I knew from Egypt’s no.1 source of news nowadays “Twitter”. One hell of a night indeed.

There is a Day of Rage scheduled for July 8.

Day of Rage : What we Should focus on now

This video compilation for clips from the Friday of Wrath January 28th in Egypt is more that great , seriously great. I recommend that you watch it till the end. Now If you compare between these clips and the clips from June 28th and June 29th strangely you will find very few differences !! The CSF are still the same and the police officers are still the same despite all what happened in these 5 months.

I will not speak about politics and current issues nor about SCAF and the revolution , I will focus on the ministry of interior. We will not have a real stability in the country , we will have a real peace of mind to rebuild our country again , we will not have a real revolution in Egypt as long as the ministry of interior and the police force are living in the illusion of Mubarak’s era.

#July8th : Revolution Phase 2

The American embassy has warned its citizens from being at Tahrir square on July 8th , I believe this warning has to do with the fact that a British citizen and an American citizen were arrested among those arrested last Wednesday morning. Needless to say this news will be used by those opposing #July8 to spread fear. I will not surprised too if I find foreign banks withdrawing money from its ATMs not only Down town but from Cairo itself.

Chaos reigns in Egypt

Ironically, the police were no where to be found during the build-up around the square. Average citizens quickly scurried away from the area as the sellers could be seen arming themselves. The roads to Tahrir were blocked and traffic came to a stand still in downtown for a number of hours, hearkening back to the uprising that saw millions come to the central area demanding an end to three decades of Hosni Mubarak’s rule.

After last week’s clashes between Egyptians and police in the capital’s main artery, the sense on the street is that the country is again spiraling toward a violent confrontation.

Sadly, this looks inevitable. The West-backed Mubarak-Regime-Sans-Mubarak is not going to just fade away, there will be a bang.

And when will we have the local councils elections Mr. PM !?

Last week the administrative court ordered the dissolution of local councils in one of the biggest blows to the Mubarak regime legally and administratively as the NDP used to control 98% of local councils across the country. The government has decided to respect the court order and not to appeal.According to the law we should have local councils elections within the upcoming 60 days !!

This seems ominous to me, rather than a "blow" against the regime.

Kudos to the people of Egypt, who will not take no for an answer. Long live the revolution.

And kudos to blogger Zeinobia. Much of the above was culled from her Egyptian Chronicles. It is without doubt the best source of news and, more importantly, analysis on the revolution. If it were up to me, she'd get a Nobel Prize. She's absolutely relentless.
