Greece Update

According to ITV, the latest austerity measures would result in the loss of 150,000 jobs for Greek workers. Don't know how reliable this is because the reporter also asks a woman he interviewed in the street "Why should Germany or France pay for Greece's debt, shouldn't you pay?" France and Germany are not paying Greece's debt! They initially bought Greek bonds as an investment, not as an act of philanthropy. And now they are accepting a rollover, in which case they are receiving new bonds in the amount of the old bonds plus the interest they would've paid; or they are lending Greece money at interest so that they can pay off the bonds those two countries are holding. Greece is in no way getting a deal, they are just digging themselves a deeper hole. There is nothing altruistic in what Germany or France is doing, nothing!

I've posted this before but in case you missed it (?), here's a link to an audio presentation of the first round of austerity measures Greece was made to suffer. If you think that the collapse of '08 was organic, and that what has ensued is an honest attempt to stabilize the world's economy rather than a raiding of it, you really should listen to this.If nothing else it is a detailed account of just what the banksters did to Greece the first time around, and how they planned this new phase.
