“They seem to just want power and are not thinking of the rest of us in this country right now,” said Karim, a 42-year-old former factory worker. He told Bikya Masr that his friends don’t have jobs and nobody is hiring because of the continued unrest in the country. “What are we supposed to do, join in protests that are not dealing with our daily lives? We are not wealthy like those in Tahrir and cannot afford to be there for months. We have to feed our families.”
