Informative, well-written article about Bolivarianism in Bolivia. I agree with the author's conclusions. Many on the left, myself included, had high hopes for that movement particularly in Venezuela, Bolivia, and Ecuador. However, it now has descended into welfarism. It's better than what it displaced, but not quite the people-powered revolution we had hoped.
