Where Have We Heard This Before: Dahal volte face has Maoists livid

Twain said that history doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme. Marx said something like historical events come in pairs, the first as tragedy, the second as farce.* What has just happened to the Maoists of Nepal is both. Throughout the history of revolt, we see this type of betrayal happen time and again. Snatching defeat from the maw of victory, Maoist leader Dahal agrees to peace terms offered by the faltering, desperate government. Draw your own conclusions.
