Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Karl
Happy birthday to you

A shout-out to Karl Marx, who turns 193 today. Karl, who's an avid reader of this blog by the way, is the philosopher and activist who grabbed this world by its scruffy, sweaty neck and launched it forward into adulthood; and to whose multifarious academic bequests we are still much too close in time to fully comprehend. So, despite our irreconcilable ideological divergence, the anarchist author of this blog, in gratitude and affection, gives a humble tip of his union membership card to the great revolutionary who may be, just may be, the most important man in history. Thanks comrade.
