Yemenis See Through Regime Change Ruse

One truly heartening development in this revolutionary age we are living through is the degree to which people are not falling for imperialism's old tricks. The US-Saudi plan to transfer power to the next in line of succession is no transfer at all. Like the Tunisians and Egyptians, the Yemenis are not buying what they are being sold. The plan is just plain insulting, and they are acting accordingly.

The bad news is that none of these three have been able to unseat their criminal regimes. In Egypt and Tunisia's cases, they have forced capital's front men to flee, but that is not meaningful change in any sense. The people who used to own those countries still do. In Yemen, they haven't even gotten that far.
