Wisconsin Election Fraud?

Dear dave,

It’s happened again. Once again we find ourselves the day after an election with serious questions being raised about the integrity of the electoral process in Waukesha County. While not as startling as the violations that occurred during the Supreme Court race last spring, these reports of voter suppression, intimidation, and results tampering continue a longtime trend and are alarming enough to require immediate attention.

Will you take action on this issue today? Last spring Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin asked U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate electoral abuses in Waukesha County, something he did not do. In light of the urgent questions raised by yesterday’s election, the Wisconsin Wave now calls on him to immediately begin an investigation into Waukesha’s electoral practices, both present and past.

To contact Eric Holder click here, and let him know that only a federal investigation can determine whether or not there were fair elections in Waukesha on Tuesday. If we don't take action on this now there's no reason this type of behavior won't keep happening over and over again!

In related election integrity news the Wisconsin Wave, thanks to your efforts and support, conducted Citizen Exit Polls throughout the recall districts on Tuesday. Here is a sampling of what we found:

In Senate District 14 we had teams monitoring seven different wards. Our Citizen Exit Polls showed incumbent Luther Olson with 28% of the total, and challenger Fred Clark with 72%. The official results for those wards listed Olson as securing 40%, with Clark picking up 60%, a 12% difference from our poll.

In Senate District 8 we had volunteers in 10 different wards. Our polls returned 41% for incumbent Alberta Darling, and 59% for challenger Sandy Pasch. The officially announced totals for the same wards showed Darling with 54% and Pasch with 46%, a 13% difference from our poll. Additionally, one of our teams in the Town of Butler (in Waukesha County) was illegally harassed and impeded by law enforcement.

Citizen Exit Polls provide oversight and accountability to an election system that relies on abuse prone electronic voting machines to count ballots. While our results raise more questions than answers, they prove once again that the only way to know if an election was free and fair is to use hand counted paper ballots at every polling site across the state.
The fight for No More Stolen Elections continues but we need your help! Next week we will be running Citizen Exit Polls in the remaining two recall districts.
